Reliability Engineer / Sr. Engineer
Catergorie: Advies Consultancy
Within the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the specification and the design of the our hihgtec machines. The departments in D&E are organized per technical discipline, like mechanical, electrical and software engineering and per task, like system integration or vacuum systems. The hardware cluster within D&E is responsible for mechanical and electrical engineering as well as integration and testing. Responsible for: Specification of reliability for mechanical systems and components (via a budget breakdown methodology) . Focus on hardware. Working together with the designers responsible for the functional specification, providing them the required reliability guidance. Delivery of the evidence that the specified reliability has been met, within the restrictions imposed by system specifications, costs and planning. This evidence consist of multiple elements, of which a major one is lifetime testing based on Weibull/Weibayes testplans By carrying out the above tasks the reliability engineer contributes to setting up the our Design for Reliability (DfR) methodology. Assisting designers (=leading by example) w.r.t analysis of design concepts and existing designs w.r.t reliability risks by applying own experience in reliability engineering (keywords: FMEA, MTBI, Weibull, Weibayes, Kaplan-Meier, failure modes, stress factors, Six Sigma, DfR), define appropriate actions, and take care of follow up on actions. Job Description For a specific subsystem and its related parts + modules / building blocks: Analyze field performance and lessons learned Establish reliability requirement + budget breakdown Define operational environment & user case Perform risk analysis / FMEA together with development team Identify critical parts Risk retirement including feasibility and lifetime testing Reliability testing at different function levels within a subsystem Reliability Prediction Review: design robustness

As a Mechanical Engineer you will work in a group of 25 enthusiastic professionals that strive to continuously innovate and improve our next generation products in close relation with other disciplines like, science, electronics and software. The position is focused on the development of electron microscopes, in particular the column itself. The Mechanical Engineer is working with a group of Mechanical Engineers, Designers and Drafters, and is responsible in the successful launch of new products, central to the success of the European R&D organization. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely together with cross functional project teams to ensure its success. The specific responsibilities are: -Develop high tech constructions within cost, specification and time. -Support and steer internal and external mechanical designers. -Knowledge of mechanical design and explore. -Knowledge of tools to improve reliability like six sigma, house of quality, FMEA and 8D. -Define specifications and drive to results. -Built functional models and test to reduce risk.

The Reliability & Maintenance Engineers prime responsibility is the prevention of critical equipment failures and elimination of recurring defects in a systematic and sustainable way. The Reliability & Maintenance Engineer is the focal point for surface related issues regarding availability and reliability of equipment systems, equipment operation, and equipment health. The Reliability & Maintenance Engineer is expected to know his cluster, the people, the equipment and issues and opportunities and is expected to coordinate obtaining resources from other groups as necessary to address issues and opportunities. For fields with multiple facilities, the Reliability & Maintenance Engineer shall spend adequate time at each facility to maintain effective working relationships with the customer and working knowledge of the installed equipment. In delivering activities the incumbent shall: Reliability analysis and structural problem solving: Assure that reliability/availability targets are being achieved by monitoring plant/equipment reliability and availability, and preventing, and eliminating critical failures by applying root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies. Lead reviews of process and equipment failures, using structured problem solving techniques such as Apollo root cause analysis and 5-WHYs. Facilitates the operational reliability improvement process (ORIP) meetings. Reliability & Maintenance reporting: Create Reliability/Availability reports by collating and analyzing data from the production deferment database and various maintenance management systems. Reliability & Maintenance strategies and equipment performance: Supports reviewing the preventive maintenance plan as part of the 5- yearly review cycle, utilizing risk and reliability management (RRM) processes. This includes identification of critical spares. As custodian of the cluster CBM strategy, evaluate and identify opportunities to improve the application of condition based maintenance (CBM) and condition monitoring (CM) strategies. Reviews SAP preventive maintenance task lists to ensure they are fit for purpose, and in compliance with the Maintenance Performance (OE) standards and CMS procedures and instructions. Co-responsible for maintaining the cluster maintenance reference plan (MRP) to achieve production and technical integrity targets within end of field life. Ensure that production and technical integrity targets are met by effective preventive maintenance, based on reliability expertise and in-depth knowledge of the equipment condition, reliability characteristics, modes and risks of failure. Identify and highlight equipment deterioration at an early stage to initiate adequate actions. Reliability modeling and input in design: User and custodian of the cluster reliability and availability models (SPARC or MAROS). Gives reliability and maintenance support to projects and modifications ensuring good quality reliability & maintenance deliverables for hand-over to E&M. Can apply life cycle costing (LCC) methodologies to support reliability and maintenance decisions. Reliability & Maintenance support/coaching: Provides support to cluster teams. Coach and train production operations staff, graduate field engineers and other engineers. You will be placed in day pattern working from Assen and Den Helder (NL). Its expected that regular field trips will be made to the on- and offshore production installations and sometimes to vendors. Occasionally visits will be made to other clients offices or installations. Working in a dynamic Offshore environment in the Southern North Sea. Focus on cross border co-operation, develop good working relationships with the clients Cluster Teams, E&M team, Support teams, contractors, and professional Maintenance associations. Work effectively within a matrix organization. Deliver technically sound solutions that are cost effective and easily to implement.
