Lees dan verder… De (SAP) applicaties die wij in beheer hebben moeten o.b.v. 7*24 service level agreements kwalitatief goed beheerd worden. Een belangrijke rol is hiervoor weggelegd voor de Oracle DBA. Vanwege het vertrek van één van onze collega’s zijn wij op zoek naar iemand die deze kritische functie kan invullen. Wij staan voor een hoge beschikbaarheid van de omgevingen voor onze klanten, het heeft immers direct invloed op de bedrijfsprocessen van de klant. Met een groot aantal databases, (SAP) applicaties, honderden terabytes aan opslag en grote (internationale) klanten kom je in een omgeving te werken waar je volop uitdagingen zult tegenkomen. Het team bestaat uit in totaal 4 personen, ieder heeft zijn specialisme, maar omdat je met zo’n klein team verantwoordelijk bent wordt er verwacht dat je ook kennis opdoet van andere database specialismen. Als Oracle database administrator heb je onder andere onderstaande taken en verantwoordelijkheden: Oplossen van 3e lijns incidenten, problems en uitvoeren van niet standaard changes binnen een installed base o.b.v. RDBMS’en Oracle, MsSql, MaxDB en DB2, onderdeel van de (SAP) applicatieomgeving; Opstellen design voor het vakgebied database beheer voor het opstellen van (klant)offertes. Ontwikkelen van nieuwe standaard bouwblokken, richtlijnen en werkwijzen op gebied van efficiënter beheer incl. borging hiervan in de on- en offshore organisatie; Afstemming met business over (nieuwe) ontwikkelingen en product management roadmaps; Ondersteunen en begeleiden van implementatie- en migratietrajecten; Kennisoverdracht naar en begeleiding van offshore collega’s voor (nieuwe) 1e en 2e lijns activiteiten (welke worden uitgevoerd in India). As well as coming up with creative and innovative ideas to improve the usage and performance of the SAP BW system.
