The $150 billion GE global enterprise employs approximately 288,0 Essential Responsibilities Analyze and support the direct & indirect tax compliance for the GE Equipment Services Europe (ESE) group of companies: VAT, corporate income taxes & WHT processes. Support/deal with inquiries from the business. Support monthly close processes for taxes. Support the quarterly account reconciliation process for VAT & CIT. Support the completion of the FAS 109 schedules. Liaise with external advisors (GE & 3rd party) with preparation of tax returns and audits. Manage tax documentation, e.g. transfer pricing & the UK SAO documentation. Liaison with Controllership, FP&A & Treasury related matters for VAT & CIT Assist with planning sessions Assist with tax research & support for business tax matters and legal entity restructurings Generally assist the European VAT Leader & Tax Director on tax-related matters Work closely with the Finance & IT dept. teams to improve the efficiency & automation of tax compliance processes

Qualifications/Requirements Strong team player, able to lead and coach.Excellent knowledge of VAT and understanding of business processes.Good IT systems skills & working knowledge of MS Office.Good communication abilities – must be fluent in English, ability in other European languages will be an advantage.Pro-active and hands-on approach.Strong analytical capabilities; able to resolve ambiguity.University degree in Tax/ Finance.8+ years VAT/ management experience with Big 4 or in an international company.

Are you the linking pin between the HR business key users across all global HR business units and Information Management. Your position is within the HR Global Systems Support Organisation. You must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with the business. You have experience in both HR business processes and functional IT support. You are able to translate the desires from the HR business key users into HR systems functionality. You can educate the business on what is and isnt possible within the applications. You can solve easy functionality issues and can communicate with 3rd parties to resolve incidents. And, you have the experience to instruct key-users on functionality changes. In terms of the wider IT landscape, you constantly liaise with other departments regarding system changes, updates and landscape implications and applications alignment. Written and spoken English is essential. We prefer someone who has experience with SAP HCM from a functional perspective. At the moment the most critical system is SAP e-recruiting.
