Yokogawa Europe Solutions, based in Amersfoort, starts per March 1st 2012 with a Traineeship DCS and Safety Engineering (M/F) Just graduated? As a Trainee DCS (Distributed Control System) and Safety Engineering, you will undertake a comprehensive programme of training. On successful completion of the training programme, you will be equipped with the necessary skills and experience to progress as a DCS or Safety Engineer within Yokogawa. Job Main technical liaison between the customer and Yokogawa located at home office and remote locations Analyse customer’s functional requirements and work with customer’s engineers towards sensible system solutions Co-ordinate internal tests, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) Responsible for the correct- technical design, implementation and testing for the part of the scope as assigned to within the timeframes as agreed Assists the Project Manager with the activity planning and execution of the work Willingness to work offshore or overseas to suit project requirements; implementation and test of modifications and commissioning of complete systems on site Develop customer awareness of Yokogawa DCS or Safety engineering capabilities Technical responsibility for all aspects of design, installation, and commissioning of DCS or Safety systems Profile Technical education (at least Bachelor level), e.g. Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Operational Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electro technical Engineering, Process Automation etc. Fluently in English (speaking and writing skills) Willingness to travel Flexible attitude and problem solving skills Capable of working independently in the project team or with customers Strong communication skills.
