Role Summary/Purpose We are looking for a Finance Professional to join the European team supporting the TIP Services and Rail Services businesses. The role will be based in Amsterdam. You will be part of the centralized Controllership team supporting 10 countries in Central Europe with your focused responsibility on Germany/Austria It is part of this position to understand the need for communication between the Business, the European Controllership team and the Global US-based HQ in a constantly changing environment Essential Responsibilities Key contact for controllership and business support to regional management in multiple locations. Managing and improving monthly financial closing process. Preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with local external auditors. Prepare and review Statutory to US GAAP reconciliations/analysis. Supporting preparation of consolidated European Accounts & SEC Reporting. Assistance with legal restructuring, major transactions and tax audits. Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. Ad-hoc analysis and management reporting. National Statistics & Bank reporting. Driving and supporting LEAN initiatives and projects, improved Business Intelligence, performance metrics and risk reporting.

    Qualifications/Requirements We are looking for an ambitious finance professional with a degree in Accountancy (CPA/ACA/RA or equivalent) who gained first experience.Interested candidates should have an excellent understanding of German GAAP (HGB)/not applicable for EE posting.You are a self-starter, used to take initiatives and possess excellent analytical and Excel skills.The ability to communicate on all levels within the organization as well as to outside Auditors and a high degree of flexibility are essential.Some travel within Central Europe may be required. As well as English the candidate should be fluent in the German language. Desired Characteristics Experience with US GAAP and work experience in one of the 'Big Four' is a plus.Similar education and/or work experience will be considered within our evaluation process.Experience of other European GAAPs, IFRS, and other languages would be an advantage.

Position summary: Member of the European Management Team and responsible for European Finance function. Responsible for management reporting and keeping the senior leadership (both in Europe and USA) aware of operating results in the form of revenues, costs, budgets, policies of operations, trends, and increased profit possibilities. Directs the maintenance and implementation of accounting principles, practices and procedures as they relate to the business units operations. Manage the functions of statutory , tax and management reporting, US GAAP project & cost accounting, financial planning & analysis, budgeting and credit & collections. Essential duties: -Partner with European Managing Director to assist in improving the business; identifying variances to plan and forecasts, and recommending corrective action plans and gap closure measures. -Owns reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting activities of the business unit. -Analyze financial activities, job costs and cost structures of the business unit: -Provide analysis and monthly financial reporting for the business unit compared to plan, forecast and prior periods. -Provide periodic and ad-hoc analyses on the performance and projects of the Company, including analytical content and context. -Conduct job post-mortem analyses. -Implement planning and analyses tools utilizing the current IT-platform. -Responsible for US GAAP and local statutory audits, statutory accounts and local tax returns. -Develop economic models to evaluate capital projects and research and development efforts. -Develop and implement process improvements. -Assist in defining/redefining business practices and policies, and ensuring consistency across the organization. -Ensure adequacy of internal controls, compliance with Company plans, policies, and procedures, and that consistent financial discipline is applied and articulated with respect to all business decisions.

De Accounting Manager is (mede) verantwoordelijk voor een goed beheer van de aan hem toevertrouwde cliënt vennootschappen met betrekking tot zowel de administratieve, juridische en fiscale als overige aspecten. Additioneel is hij verantwoordelijke voor financiële administraties en consolidatie van cliëntvennootschappen, stelt statutaire jaarrekeningen op (met toelichting) en onderhoudt de contacten met cliënten en externe adviseurs. Hij stelt ad-hoc en periodiek rapportages op, verzorgt de aangiftes omzetbelasting en/of loonbelasting en de periodieke rapportages richting De Nederlandsche Bank in het licht van wet en regelgeving.   De Accounting Manager draagt de verantwoordelijkheid voor het correct uitvoeren van de door management en/of Administratieve Management Agreement vastgelegde diensten, zoals overeengekomen met de veelal buitenlandse cliënten. Hij is verantwoordelijk voor het inrichten en voeren van een correcte administratie, rekening houdende met de door cliënt verstrekte instructies en tevens rekening houdende met de wettelijke en statutaire bepalingen en/of interne procedures. Binnen de door de cliënt verstrekte volmachten beheert hij de eventueel aanwezige fondsen. Hij is verantwoordelijk voor een zowel qua inhoud als taalgebruik correcte correspondentie met cliënt, relaties en adviseurs. Hij draagt zorg voor tijdige input van mutaties van de corporate file, opdat deze volledig zijn en voorzien van de juiste stukken.   De Accounting Manager dient er voor te zorgen dat in voorkomende gevallen tijdig en correct advies wordt ingewonnen zowel intern bij de Account Manager Legal als extern, zoals bij accountant en belasting- adviseur.   De Accounting Manager rapporteert aan de Sr. Account Manager welke eindverantwoordelijk is. De positie is gesitueerd op het hoofdkantoor in Amsterdam.   Taken en verantwoordelijkheden Onder andere maar niet besloten tot: Het boeken van alle zich binnen de hem toevertrouwde vennootschappen voordoende mutaties. Het opstellen van de door de cliënt gewenste (interim) rapportages. Het uitvoeren van betalingsopdrachten. Het opstellen van het (concept) jaarverslag voor goedkeuring door de aandeelhouders en voor de Nederlandse vennootschappen. Tevens het directieverslag, alsmede het jaarverslag ter deponering bij de Kamer van Koophandel. Het voldoen aan de wettelijke voorschriften m.b.t. registratie bij de Kamer van Koophandel, zoals het invullen en indienen van alle noodzakelijke formulieren. Het tijdig verzorgen van periodieke rapportages aan de Nederlandsche Bank zoals bijvoorbeeld de DRA-rapportage en het verzorgen van de BFI-balansenquete. Opstellen van de aangifte vennootschapsbelasting, dividendbelasting en kapitaalsbelasting. Overleg met de Account Manager Legal aangaande alle juridische zaken. Overleg met de externe accountant o.a. met betrekking tot de controle van het jaarverslag en het verkrijgen van een goedkeurende verklaring. Overleg met de fiscale adviseurs betreffende alle fiscale zaken, waaronder het aanvragen van de fiscale nummers voor omzetbelasting, loonbelasting en vennootschapsbelasting. Het uitvoeren van al hetgeen nodig is teneinde opdrachtgever c.a. en haar cliënten te allen tijde te laten voldoen aan hetgeen vanuit een oogpunt van een deugdelijke compliance vereist dan wel anderszins gewenst is.
