Aim of the job As Database/Application Manager you will ensure that systems software is meeting the needs of end-users through the use of portal and collaboration applications, online learning tools, and the student administration system. You will also ensure that the applications and databases are optimally deployed and configured in support of the School’s business processes. In addition, you will provide training and documentation to RSM staff on the use of information resources, and assist and support RSM managers and directors in identifying and documenting business processes which can be improved upon through better utilization and enhancements to the RSM information resources. And you will provide database and user support for RSM’s online communities, online learning and student administration tools. You’re the intermediate between users and the supporting technology (SharePoint; PowerCampus; Blackboard) As Database/Application Manager you will report directly to the ICT Manager. He/she works closely together with the ICT Manager, ICT staff, students, staff and faculty. Education Your educational level is comparable to the Dutch HBO level in ICT MSc desirable, knowledge of online learning and collaboration tools within a business or education environment, knowledge of SharePoint and Web 2.0 technologies Experience/skills • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing database- driven applications; • A minimum of 3 years’ extensive experience supporting and maintaining databases in MS SQL; • Ability to communicate effectively and in a customer friendly manner in English and Dutch with all stakeholders by serving as an intermediate between users and technology; • Ability to write and develop procedures, manuals, instructions and presentations; • Ability to translate ICT systems developments into effective and efficient ICT proposals; • Project management skills; • Experience with social networking tools. Competencies Problem Solving Capacity, Customer-, Team-, and Result orientated. We offer The position fits within salary range € 3.800 – € 4.200 (Scale 7). Als application manager ben je service-eigenaar van een reeks (geïntegreerde, complexe) applicaties. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor één of voor een beperkt aantal (multiple) live services, voor incident- en probleemoplossingen en voor het afhandelen van standaardverzoeken die niet door de servicedesk worden afgehandeld. Verder ben je verantwoordelijk voor de relevante applicaties (de reeks complexe applicaties) binnen een specifiek domeinbeheer van serviceverwachtingen. Je fungeert als intermediair tussen het bedrijf en in- en externe leveranciers; je treedt op als derdelijnsondersteuning voor serviceherstel en het afhandelen van verzoeken die niet kunnen worden afgehandeld door de servicedesk. Je houdt je aan de vastgestelde processen en aan incidentoplossingsmethodieken en praktijken bij het uitvoeren van de hieruit voortvloeiende verantwoordelijkheden. Dat houdt ook in het naleven van vastgestelde kwaliteits- en beveiligingsnormen. Binnen APG ga je werken bij het nieuwe organisatieonderdeel Chief Information & Technology Officer (CITO) binnen de afdeling Asset Management. De CITO-organisatie is verantwoordelijk voor de informatievoorziening en IT-functie van Asset Management. IT speelt een centrale rol als business enabler bij de zorg voor het soepel verlopen van de processen binnen Asset Management. CITO biedt niet alleen ondersteuning bij lopende zaken, maar ook bij de (strategische) zakelijke en door IT geïnitieerde wijzigingen voor Asset Management. CITO is gefocust op vertrouwelijke omgang met de klant, een globale aanpak, gecontroleerde eenvoud, (strategische) partnerschappen en excellente bedrijfsvoering. De CITO-afdeling Service Management & IT-Operations (SMO) is verantwoordelijk voor het leveren van betrouwbare IT-diensten aan het bedrijf. Als schakel tussen het bedrijf en IT-leveranciers stuurt de afdeling alle uitvoerende activiteiten aan van deze leveranciers waarbij de focus ligt op servicetransitie, serviceverbetering en serviceverlening. De afdeling is tevens verantwoordelijk voor alle activiteiten van de servicedesk binnen de IT-gerelateerde en operationele processchaal van Asset Management.

Je borgt de juiste kwaliteit en werking van de solution in de ICT-omgeving van de klant. Je doet dit op locatie, maar waar mogelijk ook op afstand. Je hebt altijd verschillende klanten in je portefeuille, wat zorgt voor afwisseling. Je kunt vanuit het hoofdkantoor in Nijmegen werken, maar als het beter uitkomt ook vanuit huis.
