    Department The EHS&S department for the Bergen op Zoom Site. Purpose of the job: Maintain and revise the License to Operate of SABIC by using knowledge and expertise to advise and coordinate in the acquisition of and compliance with environmental permits. Develop and implement environmental (policy) plans, maintain our management system and ISO 14001 certification as base for compliance. Manage consultation/negotiations with the government on behalf of SABIC for this purpose. Responsibilities: Acquire and maintain appropriate and up-to-date environmental permits. Lead the environmental team and coordinate activities. Monitor and implement new legislation and regulations in relation to the environment and coordinate/advise with regard to the implementation of this legislation/these regulations within SABIC to secure compliance. Maintain an effective network of relevant internal (particularly Asset Operation Leaders) and external stakeholders (particularly authorities) such as on the basis of trust and adequate knowledge. Initiate, develop and lead environmental projects to improve environmental performance. Contribute towards developing and maintaining expertise in the field of various environmental issues. Advice and challenge management with respect to the implementation and compliance of requirements and continuous improvement. Your Profile Higher Vocational Education-level in Environmental Sciences. Good experience (>5 years) within chemical industry in the field of operations/manufacturing. Applicable competencies for analyzing complex environmental issues and the ability to manage and convince multi disciplinary teams on EHSS and permitting issues. Excellent knowledge of policy, government legislation and regulations in relation to the environment. Knowledge of project-based working. Negotiation skills. Good communication skills and being able to build effective and sustainable relationships within the organization as well as with stakeholders outside the organization. Main Responsibilities Realizes the planned output of all deliverables of production, conform plan. Indicates, initiates and drives actions to improve products and/or the production processes. Is responsible for detailed production planning and supervises progress within quality, delivery time and cost objectives.
