| Technisch Specialist Proces Automatisering Banen In deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor het beheren van alle proces automatisering software en vraagstukken, zodat de kwaliteit en kwantiteit volgens de gestelde eisen gewaarborgd zijn. Je gaat je bezig houden met het opstellen van een pakket van eisen voor nieuwe of aangepaste procesbesturing. Je overlegt met de opdrachtgever of leidinggevende hoe je bepaalde delen van de installatie kunt wijzigen. Je brengt zelf of laat anderen wijzigingen aanbrengen in verschillende programeerbare componenten (PLC) of automatiseringsystemen zoals PC S7, Asibus, Profibus en PDS. Tevens ga je je bezig houden met het maken van gebruikershandleidingen en draai je Stand-by diensten ter ondersteuning van de Monteurs. | Specialist Proces Automation Chemie Department Site Geleen: SABIC’s Geleen Site encompasses 7 chemical plants. The naphtha-crackers produce 1,250,000 ton/a of ethylene and 675,000 ton/a of propylene, mainly used as feedstock for our poly-olefins plants. Our naphtha-crackers have superior plant reliability and a competitive cost position. The maintenance and improvements efforts are crucial to ensure our future plant reliability as well a safe plant operation. From that perspective we are facing a challenge to prepare and implement numerous value-up and cost-down improvements in the next decade. Structure Site Geleen: For both the Polymers as well the Chemicals & Intermediates Cluster, a split is made in responsibilities for Operations (short term focus), Site Improvements (long-term focus) and Site Services. The latter has the responsibility in planning, scheduling and execution of projects, maintenance and turn-arounds. Operations has a responsibility for safe and maximum production. The responsibilities of Site Improvements are twofold: Improving cost competitiveness of our plants: identifying, investigating the feasibility and scoping improvement proposals for maintenance, license-to-operate-project as well Value-up & Cost-down projects Custodians of process integrity & safety and regulatory compliancy. The Challenge As a Specialist Process Automation you act within different aspects of process control and automation engineering. You optimize the philosophy to control our (poly-)olefin plants in a safe, reliable & cost-efficient way. You initiate improvement studies & proposals in the process automation domain. You supply third line troubleshooting toward the Running Business organisation. Within the discipline Process Automation you have the opportunity to apply your thorough knowledge of process technology combined with process control equipment and applications (DCS systems, APC, Aspentech, SIL/SIS regulations, MES). In close cooperation with the global Manufacturing Competence Centre you advise on the correct choice and application of software tools, based on trading-off dissimilar criteria like business importance, implementation risk, robustness, ease of use, maintainability, installed base, vendor dependency, Total Investment Costs and Total Cost of Ownership. You support process automation projects as a consultant, delivering high-level knowledge on a multidisciplinary level. You oversee the phased implementation of automation projects from functional requirements and information analysis up to technical design, realization, testing and commissioning. Your Profile M.Sc. Applied Physics, Process Control, Process System Engineering, Electro-Mechanical or equivalent; More then 10 years relevant experience in design & apply of advanced process control within (petro-) chemical or energy industry; Familiar with software tools used in process automation; Strong drive for continuous development; Excellent communication/persuasiveness skills; Fluent in English and Dutch (or willingness to learn Dutch); Familiar with work processes like Plan-Do-Check-Act, Asset Utilisation, Improve Plant. .
