    The department provides high quality statistical programming support for clinical trials to create master datasets, tables, listing, graphs and analyses. The results support the statisticians in the evaluation, analysis and reporting of clinical trials for regulatory submission and marketing. They contribute substantially to the harmonization and standardization of programming within projects and/or Biometrics worldwide. Converts clinical data to SAS data sets for tabulation, analysis and reporting. Develops, validates, and documents SAS programs to support the analysis of clinical trials: Derivation and structuring data for the reporting of the trial, by setting up so-called SAS master data sets, on the basis of the written statistical plan from the statistician, and in close agreement with the other team members within the trial or project. Generating data listings to support trial team members in the medical and statistical evaluation of the trial data. Generating listings, tables, graphs and analyses for the statistical appendix to the clinical trial report, using standard programs wherever applicable. Organizing the programs related to a trial in such a way that the generation of all of the appendices is done in one final run. Contributes to project related programming tasks: global database and integrated summaries of efficacy and safety. Contributes substantially to the quality and standardization of programming within clinical projects and within Biometrics at worldwide level, possibly consisting of: Drawing up specifications for global SAS master data sets and Integrated Safety and Efficacy data bases Development of programs for Integrated Summaries, Expert Report, overviews or meta-analyses Development, validation, implementation and maintenance of standard programs Drawing up guidance documents for Good Programming Practice and the validation of computerized systems. Supports statisticians with programming for implementing (new) statistical methods and techniques. Keeps up-to-date on new developments, including new programming technologies (web-based, xml, e.g.) and possibly act as expert within the department in one these areas.

As the Analyst programmer you have to devellop new or improved software to meet ongoing functional, market, manufacturer or legislative needs to ensure that the products maintain their market leading position. In this position you have the following tasks ans responsibilities: * Develop application software based on any requirement specifications provided; * Investigate software problems identified in testing or via Support and provide solutions; * Provide technical and process documentation to supplement specifications; * Ensure that all developments are secured on a daily basis using the version control system or an off-line medium where appropriate; * Ensure that documentation is regularly backed up to an off-line medium; * Provide assistance to QA personnel in their processes of formal testing and documentation and assist with hand-over training where necessary; * Assist in the installation, implementation and support of pilot versions of new software; * Conform to quality expectations and comply with established development standards; * Make full use of internal applications and tools, such as CVS and the Issues database.

Daarnaast controleert de CNC-Programmer in teamverband de producten teneinde de kwaliteit te borgen.
