| Global Travel And Events Manager HospitalityandReizen Founded in 1968, the International Baccalaureate (IB) is a recognised leader in international education, encouraging students to be active learners and engaged world citizens. The Global Travel and Event Manager is responsible for achieving continuously improving, cost effective and efficient travel and related services for the IB. The role holder will develop and implement a global strategy for the delivery of travel and event services and will identify and lead projects which deliver value for the IB and efficiencies and cost saving in the travel and events category. The role holder will: • Negotiate agent, air, car hotel and conference contracts; • Conduct assessment reviews with 3rd party providers; • Develop and maintain cost saving metrics that provide year on year measurements for IB global travel and event categories; • Consolidate the number of agents, airlines, hotels etc to ensure volume leverage; • Develop internal systems and processes to aid data collection, reporting and communication; • Ensure business and selected suppliers comply with related legislation and industry good practice. Main requirements The successful candidate will have: • A degree level of education or equivalent; • Professional certification in corporate travel management (NBTA, CTE, CCTE or equivalent) or a certificate in purchasing and supply (CIPS level 3, NEVI, or equivalent); • In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing in the travel and events; • 10-15 years experience in relevant environment; • Proven experience of managing global Travel & Events department/Team; • Extensive experience and knowledge of managing large projects in a variety of contexts; • Strong influencing ability; • International mindset; • Strong communications skills, working language English and preferably Spanish and/or French. Start date December 2011 Location The post will be based in The Hague, the Netherlands. The position will involve some international travel.
