Manager Polymer Market Intelligence Marktonderzoekand analyse Department Sabic is now hiring a Manager Polymer Market Intelligence. The Challenge Primarily responsible for continuous monitoring of competition and market trends, facilitating accurate, timely and confident decision making that is based on carefully analyzed information within SABIC and SBU guidelines and in alignment with Corporate Competitive Intelligence and other SBU Market Intelligence, with the objective to increase business competitiveness & profitability in the short, medium and long term. Responsibilities Monitor quantitative and qualitative competition and market trends through internal analysis and external consultants. Provide BU’s with relevant industry-wide analysis and observation together with interpretation and evaluation of short and long term impact. Co-create analysis with respective stakeholders to deliver decision point solution Based on deep understanding of relevant factors; supply, demand and margin, forecast short term outlook to help BU’s operational business steering processes; sales volume, stock management and price policy highlighting opportunities and risks. Project industry context scenarios for business plan of BU’s, strategic planning and investment planning purposes with focus on; economic environment, end market dynamic, supply development, demand growth, trade flow, operating rate level and margin trends. Help BU’s to capture product and market opportunities through comprehensive segmentation analysis that identify new product outlets, prioritize existing segments with objective to balance maker share and profitability. In view of industry context, optimize assets ensuring maximum utilization of available resources, increase productivity and deliver the highest value at lowest cost. Assess competition landscape, anticipate disruptions and changes on market drives and provide recommendation to mitigate threats ensuring that BU’s is optimally placed globally. Challenge BU’s in their market perspective, utilization of market intelligence solutions and encourage feedback. Align market perspective and key indicators with Corporate Competitive Intelligence and across other SBU. Support SBU, BU and Business Strategy managements with analysis required and responds to ad-hoc requests Your Profile Minimum 8 years’ experience in the petrochemicals or in an industrial environment At least three years’ experience of market intelligence function in a petrochemicals or industrial organization Competencies (key functional, leadership, or business competencies required) Sound judgment Excellent analytical and conceptual powers Independent creative lateral thinker Excellent IT skills (MS Excel) Strong understanding of chemical industry, customers, markets and competitors adapted to the very diverse portfolio of BU’s Recognized thought networking and communication skills Further Information For more information about this role please contact Caspar Kramers , HR manager at +31(0)164 29 1141. Several corporate ideas that have been approved for incubation by the Board of Directors are now under development. Given the new character of both the department and the ideas, numerous opportunities can be identified in creating successful ventures. Within one of the corporate incubator projects, we are looking for an Incubation Market Intelligence Officer. The Challenge As the project is in corporate incubation details about the subject cannot be shared other than stating that the project is related to innovation and sustainability within the petrochemical industry. This is an excellent opportunity to experience the dynamics of venturing within a multinational market leader The internship duration is not fixed varying between 3-6 months, starting the first of February at latest (preferably as soon as possible) and ending ultimately the end of June.
