    In deze functie bent u verantwoordelijk voor de aansturing van complexe projecten en geeft u leiding aan de afdeling Project Management. U levert een belangrijke bijdrage aan de verdere professionalisering van de projectorganisatie die streeft naar de hoogste leverbetrouwbaarheid. Daarbij komen onder andere projectinkoop, financiële, logistieke, technische en QHSE vraagstukken aan bod. U zorgt ervoor dat de projectcommunicatie optimaal en volledig verloopt en onderhoudt daartoe nauwe contacten met de interne organisatie, externe partners en klanten. U maakt deel uit van het managementteam en rapporteert aan de CEO. Gevraagd wordt een afgeronde werktuigbouwkundige opleiding op minimaal hbo-niveau. Ruime (project-)management ervaring binnen een internationaal opererende organisatie met omvangrijke projecten. Ervaring bij voorkeur opgedaan in de olie-, gas- of renewable industrie, dan wel industriële vastgoedontwikkeling. Gedegen bedrijfskundig en financieel economisch inzicht. Juridische kennis van internationale handelscontracten en samenwerkingsverbanden. Een proactieve en verbeteringsgezinde grondhouding. Een denker en doener die midden in de operatie kan staan zonder het overzicht te verliezen. Improvisatietalent, flexibiliteit en gedrevenheid, goede beheersing van de Nederlandse, Engelse en Duitse taal. Geboden wordt een uitdagende managementfunctie bij een kerngezonde onderneming met een sterke naam in een groeiende markt. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the execution of a major and/or a portfolio of strategic manufacturing projects at MSD Sites in Continental Europe. Activities range from business case verification to concepts design and implementation. Projects may include all aspects of API, Pharmaceutical and Bio Pharmaceutical development and production. The Project Manager will also initially act as a key account manager for pharmaceutical projects in the Benelux region. This role is based in the Benelux regio Oss, Haarlem (Netherlands) or Heist (Belgium).

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the proper and timely execution of contracts for medium to large Industrial Automation projects. The Senior Project Manager manages under general direction one or more multidisciplinary project teams in international Industrial Automation projects with an inspiring management style. The Senior Project Manager represents our customer in all dealings with the client. He or she is in frequent contact with clients, suppliers, contractors in the Netherlands and abroad, as well as with our customer subsidiaries. He or she also pays frequent visits to clients. The Senior Project managers activities are related to the Quality Health Safety and Environment, Scope Time and Budget of major capital projects. He or she manages, administers and oversees work performed by the Project Team and sub-contractors and performs related duties as assigned. The Senior Project Manager is supported in his tasks by the Project Management Office with respect to document control, scheduling and accounting. The Senior Project Manager reports to the Head of Project Management. Job Overall responsibility for medium to large (>10M) Industrial Automation projects; Prepare accurate and detailed reports on the projects results with respect to QHSE, Schedule and Costs; Monitors, acts and reports on threats and opportunities to Project Constrains Represent the projects to the end-client; Plan, organize, assign ,analyze and optimize the work of an assigned project team and its tasks; Manage and oversee the design, implementation, testing and site activities of medium to large projects; Instruct, coordinate and motivate the staff as well as outside consultants; Prepare, administer and monitor project budgets and schedules and control change order processes; Represent our customer effectively in negotiations and interactions with a variety of consultants, contractors, agencies and other stakeholders; Interpret, explain and apply complex rules, regulations, laws and ordinances; Provide technical assistance on assigned projects; Develop sound project execution strategy within established guidelines; Establish and maintain effective working relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, representatives of other agencies and others encountered in the course of work; Advice the Project Managers in the execution of their tasks; Actively participate with Senior Management in various improvement projects inside and outside the domain of Project Management.
