To efficiently support the finance, administration and controlling department and to strengthen our organizational set-up, we are looking for an energetic and assertive individual, who has worked within a U.S.-American environment of a similar technical nature and a comparable size before, as SPECIALIST, FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS - EMEA (M/F) Industrial Products We think of you as an analytically gifted and communicative pragmatist with a university or applied sciences degree in business administration majoring in accounting or finance, any higher formal training level being a plus. You will be very familiar with the proper implementation of German and U.S.-American accounting and finance practices and principles (HGB/GAAP). To qualify for the post, you must have hands-on and many years of experience in the application of both up-to-date ERP business systems and MS Office Suite software packages. You will be an organized, committed, methodical and process-driven person with a high level of ethics and integrity, equipped with a strong desire to contribute to a positive team-spirit by supporting everyones efforts to succeed. Overall, you will be responsible for the critical analysis of business operations particularly regarding our monthly, quarterly and annual results along with the management of the annual budget process, transfer pricing planning, calculation and tax defence measures as well as ongoing forecasts of profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow issues. Further, you will be accountable for analysing cost and cost structures, in detail for analysing production, inventory control, finance, sales and marketing, logistics, human resources and other business functions to identify cost savings opportunities and to explain variances to management. In addition, you will successfully implement projects, programs and duties relevant to the role, and demonstrate a sound balance between quality and quantity of work and performance while maintaining a sense of urgency toward completion. As we report to the U.S.-American parent company, we expect a fluent command of English apart from the German language, and any additional language skill will serve being an asset. Organizationally, you will directly report to the Head of the Department along with a functional reporting line to the Corporate Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis in the U.S. There will be significant interaction with the latter role, the Managing Director for EMEA and the Corporate CFO.

Financial Reporting Specialist JOB DESCRIPTION: The Consolidation & Reporting department is responsible for the gathering of the worldwide financials, issuing administrative guidelines and preparing external financial reporting (quarterly reports, annual reports, etc) under IFRS standards. Consolidation is done via a dedicated HFM system. The Consolidation & Reporting department works in close operation with the Business Analysis & Control Department and the financial directors of our many operating companies. As a Financial Reporting Specialist you will be keeping track of organizational and reporting change continue to shape the information needs within the Group. This trend sets the need for a new position within the Consolidation Department. To harmonize and coordinate (new) internal financial information as part of Master Data Management and the development of Business Intelligence Solutions, the financial reporting & compliance specialist will be responsible for identifying new information needs, maintaining and updating corporate taxonomy, definitions and chart of accounts; to engage with finance community, roll-out these principles and train the Wolters Kluwers finance community; to monitor compliance in close cooperation with Internal Audit and the Global Business Process Owner Record to Report of Global Shared Services. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Uphold Wolters KluwerÂ’s Chart of Accounts, Corporate Taxonomy and Definitions and provide recommendations to the content and related processes thereto; - Assess the implications of new accounting directives and, in as far as relevant, implement these new directives in the financial accounting and reporting practices; - Inform the organization on new reporting directives; - Write periodically on specific financial reporting themes; - Educate/train staff on best business practices to increase and demonstrate compliance with Wolters Kluwer policies and procedures; - Set up, participate in and organize company-wide projects on reporting, such as Corporate Taxonomy (the company chart of account) and other internal control projects; - Set up and roll-out of Wolters Kluwers group wide Financial Compliance database; - Ensure sufficient reporting and policy setting links with the change controls, required for large programs and projects that usually do not comply with financial disclosure policies. - In alignment with IAD, assess and potentially review high-risk areas, issues and departments to promote Wolters Kluwers compliance program; - Create corrective action plans where errors occur; - Liaise with the GBPOs, mostly the GBPO Record to Report; - Participate in Master Data Management and Business Intelligence projects; - Ensure planning alignment with IAD and with the external auditor and potentially assist with financial audits in close cooperation with Internal Audit. This position is responsible for the preparation of participation statements to outside participants of filmed products as required by the provisions or terms of the agreements/contracts with these outside parties. This position will deal with reporting of statements of titles that have been transitioned from local territories to a centralized function located at the EBSC in Amsterdam. Future duties will include assisting in the conversion from a manual driven preparation process to an automated one. Prepare financial statements to outside participants in adherence to their respective contractual agreements Monitor the frequency and due dates of participation statements in order to properly prepare, complete, and submit statements for approval Review notes from management to ensure contractual compliance and resolve problems, if applicable Review the propriety and reasonableness of financial activity shown in the participation system as well as other reports and investigate unusual activity, if any Coordinate with management as to the proper disposition of unusual financial activity identified and analyze and handle corrections or adjustments, if necessary Ensure that financial activity used in the statement is reported properly and that the share payable is calculated accurately in compliance with the reporting terms as summarized in the Contract Brief and/or as provided for in the respective agreements Review statement packages in order to verify the accuracy of addresses and other relevant information used in the transmittal letters, envelopes, and payment requisitions before submission for approval Assist in the timely preparation and submission of monthly cash forecasts/quarterly estimates for planning, if needed Performs various other projects such as research, special reports and statistical analysis as needed Assist in the conversion from a manual driven preparation process to an automated one.
